Many foodbanks require a referral for support and our IAF mentors can support you through this process to ensure your basic needs are met.
Young people based in Worksop can access food support from Bassetlaw Foodbank but you will first need to obtain a referral to the scheme via Bassetlaw District Council by calling 01909 533 533. Your IAF mentor can support you with the referral process and once your referral is complete, you'll be able to pop by during their allocated collection windows to pick up what you need.
Too Good To Go bags are another great resource for accessing discounted food supplies in the local area. Unlike foodbanks or social supermarkets, the Too Good To Go app will list 'surprise bags' of food, supplied by local restaurants and shops nearing closing time, at heavily discounted prices to prevent food waste. Download the app for free via your app store provider to browse availability but be aware the 'surprise' items you receive could be anything from their menus.
